ENT3003 12a: Figuring out Buyer Behavior
For my
first interview, I interviewed Reed Espy
1)
The
segment I chose was the breakfast/lunch restaurant I had from the napkin
assignment
2)
Interviewing
Reed Espy
3)
I
explained my idea to Reed and he did mention that on campus here at UF they’re
none family atmosphere breakfast and lunch places that I mentioned. His need occurs
on weekends when he feels like having a nice breakfast and has to uber to go
out of campus to find one. This need occurs because only outside of campus are
their these kinds of restaurants.
4)
To
first quantify this issue Reed and a lot of times his girlfriend uber to Metro
Diner, which is a couple miles off campus. He admits he hasn’t talked very much
with his family about this.
5)
My
summarization is listed out above
6)
Based
on this interview I’m definitely not the only student who lives on UF’s giant
campus that is experiencing this issue. The need awareness is there.
For my
second interview, I interviewed Brian Trupo
1)
The
segment I chose was the breakfast/lunch restaurant I had from the napkin
assignment
2)
Interviewing
Brian Trupo
3)
I
explained my idea to Brian and he mentioned how a lot of times for breakfast he
just relies on fruit, bagels, or toast because of the unmet need of on campus breakfast
spots. This need he has occurs every day, Monday-Sunday.
4)
Brian’s
solution to this problem is via uber eats, where he will get breakfast delivered
to him on weekends when he doesn’t feel like making food for himself.
5)
My
summarization is listed out above
6)
Based
on this second interview I can see how different students are adapting to this
opportunity that has an unmet need.
For my
third interview, I interviewed Matthew Cinesi
1)
The
segment I chose was the breakfast/lunch restaurant I had from the napkin
assignment
2)
I
interviewed Matthew Cinesi
3)
I
explained my idea to Matthew Cinesi and he mentioned how this opportunity
listed out is really an issue here at UF. They’re coffee shops throughout
campus and in downtown Gainesville but we lack in the breakfast and lunch spots
that are authentic and have good food.
4)
To
first quantify this issue Matthew says he really just doesn’t go off campus for
breakfast ever unless its Waffle House because Waffle House is stupid cheap.
5)
My
summarization is listed above.
6)
Based
on my third interview there is obviously a need that is depicted above in our
need at UF to establish a breakfast and lunch hot spot for students to attend.
Hi Evan,
ReplyDeleteUntil reading your post, I never would have thought that there was an unmet need for good breakfast areas on campus. However, as I am now thinking about it, there are not a lot of places to get breakfast or lunch foods that people can walk to. This need is especially evident for people who do not have a car because they then have to waste money on Uber just to get food.
Hey Evan! I can agree that breakfast places are a serious issue, especially in Gainesville. Whether on a Saturday or Sunday, the most popular restaurants that serve breakfast are always packed with people. Most places will have a wait time of anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour and a half. Creating a business based on customer need was a great decision. This will make you extremely successful. Overall, great post!
